Look What Thoughts Will Do is a double-disc set covering all of Lefty's biggest hits ("If You've Got the Money I've Got the Time," "I Love You a Thousand Ways," "I Want to Be With You Always," "Always Late (With Your Kisses)," "Give Me More, More More (Of Your Kisses)," "Run 'Em Off," "The Long Black Veil," "Saginaw, Michigan"), plus several lesser-known singles, B-sides, and album tracks. Essentially, the compilation is an expanded version of Rhino's excellent single-disc The Best of Lefty Frizzell, featuring all of that disc's 18 tracks. What makes Look What Thoughts Will Do exciting for fans who already have the older compilation is the wealth of gems that haven't made it to compact disc in the past. For neophytes, the double disc is an excellent introduction, since it draws a full portrait of one of the greatest honky tonk singers to ever live. Casual listeners will want to stick with the Rhino compilation, but Look What Thoughts Will Do is the definitive overview of Frizzell's heyday, making it an essential addition to any serious country collection. © Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Some songs are compressed up to 78%. That's too much. Why always destroy the beautiful music when there is another way. New music is nowhere near compressed. Only oldies are treated like second goods.
