Tony Davis is emerging as one of the most distinguishable voices on the guitar today.
He can be found regularly performing both as a sideman and as a leader at NYC’s most prominent venues and around the world. His unique voice runs the gamut of nearly every musical genre, drawing inspiration anywhere from jazz & classical music to Spanish, Brazilian & other Latin styles, to American blues, folk, rock and R&B. His ability to seamlessly weave through his vast array of influences can be heard in his original compositions, fresh arrangements and melodic improvisations, making him one of the most intriguing musicians on the scene today.
In 2019 he was signed by the acclaimed Posi-Tone label and released his debut album as a leader, “Golden Year” which features an all-star line up of some of the greatest jazz musicians in the world. Since then he has self-released a solo EP “Tres Palabras” which highlights various acoustic blues, singer-songwriter and latin influences. In 2022 Davis signed with one of the leading record labels of contemporary music, La Reserve Records, and is set to release his duo album with Brazilian vocalist, Jamile “Daring Two Be” on July 8th, 2022
