It consists of her self-penned music, which she performs on several kannels, widening the playing techniques and bringing out the variegated timbre of her instruments. Each kannel opens up a unique world in Eva Väljaots’s picturesque soundscapes. Modern meets archaic in her music rich with improvisation and inspired by the present moment as well as her own heritage, age-old tales, and Finno-Ugric musical tradition.
