EDDIE VAAN SHAW, began his career at the age of eleven….he has been on the road ever since. He was introduced to the guitar by Magic Sam, and was raised on the laps of Elmore James, Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf.

Later on, he played rhythm guitar at his father’s club at” 1815 West Roosevelt” in Chicago, backing- up Eddie Taylor, Hound Dog Taylor, Freddie King, Eddie Burke, Otis Rush, Jimmy Reed,Willie Dixon, Koko Taylor, and Albert Collins among others.

Eddie Vaan has played in every famous blues spots and hole in the wall clubs in Chicago. He has performed on several Boat Cruises, private Yachts… he has played many festivals with James cotton, concerts with George Thorgood and toured with Son Seals, Hubert Sumlin, Junior Wells… He has toured to international audiences and television in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Canada, Greece, Sweden, Austria, Mexico, Alaska, Israel, Liban.

He has left his mark on 12 Eddie Shaw CD’s and CD recordings with Lonnie Shield, Bobba Barnes, Pinetop Perkins and a special tribute CD to Magic Sam. He will make your jaw drop with his razor sharpness honing on the axe……never pass up the chance to see him ! He is one of the finest guitarist ...brilliant ! He spits fire all over the fretboard.
