Between the ancestral tradition of the "call and response" magnified by the Black Indians, the melodic flights of the frenzied Cajun rounds, the metronomic rhythms of the "second lines" in the service of the holy Groove... The Imperial Quartet always finds itself there as long as there is soul and enigmatic soul radiating from Afro-American music. This territory in the southern United States is a space where cultural mixtures have transcended musical creations.
