With new single “Better Days”, Liam Gallagher interpolates Tove Lo’s heartbroken “bad days” into a luminous serving of psych-pop—continuing to suggest that his third solo album will be his most adventurous yet. It follows the bracing “Everything’s Electric” and the glam-meets-gospel title track as the third single to drop from C’MON YOU KNOW. “Some of it's odd,” Liam tells Apple Music. “I’d say 80 per cent of the record is peculiar but still good, and 20 per cent of it is classic like ‘Everything’s Electric’. If you’re gonna do something a bit different, do it in these times and if people don’t dig it, blame it on COVID.”

Liam’s musical venturousness looks set to continue beyond this record, with the Dave Grohl co-write “Everything’s Electric” hinting at future enterprises. “It kicks the doors open to what’s next,” he says. “The album was finished. We had been recording in RAK [Studios, in London] for two, three months and all the songs were ready. Just as we were about to go to the pub, I got a phone call saying, ‘Can you go back into the studio? Dave and Greg [Kurstin, producer] have got an idea for you.’ So I had to sack off the pub, went in and whacked the vocal on it and sent it back to Dave and Greg in America.
