The adventure began at the Académie Musicale de Villecroze. Between Florent Bontron, first prize of the National Conservatory of Paris and Cécile Maudire, graduate of the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, the current flows immediately.
They choose to bear the name Pelléas, hero of Claude Debussy's opera "Pelléas et Mélisande", as if to embody the sweetness and the dream contained in this work.
For more than 15 years, Cécile Maudire and Florent Bontron have been giving concerts in France and abroad. With this first disc, they begin a series of recordings of the most important works of the repertoire for flute and harp.
It is with romantic music that the duo has chosen to begin this recording cycle: from Paris-Alvars to Furstenau, from Donizetti to Schubert, DIzi and Godefroid, the duo offers you a panorama of original music for flute and harp between 1800 and 1850.
