Sheriff Jack - What Lovely Melodies! (1987)

Before he was Lewis Taylor, Andrew Taylor was Sheriff Jack and this is the second album he put out under that name. On the face of it - it is very different from the Lewis Taylor albums but there are similarities - not least the Todd Rundgren influences.The problem with this album is there are also bits of XTC, Zappa, Small Faces and more. Andrew was not to find his own voice for another nine years, when Lewis One appeared (1996). Still this pob album is very enjoyable in its own right.
