SERPENT - Dysfunktion (2022) Hi-Res

Due to personal concerns, I was never able to highlight Lescop's new formation that was Serpent at the end of this shitty year that was 2020. Anyway, they had grooved and enchanted our second confinement very depressing with their cleverly mischievous dose of punk-funk which took on new proportions during the stage performances. In this spring of 2022, they are trying the feat again with their new EP called Dysfunktion.

Are you ready for a good dose of groove? Well with Serpent, you will be served. With these six new funky bombs, Lescop's voice once again matches the feverish guitars of Martin Uslef and Adrian Edeline and the rhythm section signed Quentin Rochas on bass and Wend¥ Kill on drums. This gives biting and punchy compositions such as the implacable introduction called "Don't Waste My Time" or even "Lonely Freak" and "Zombies (That's What We Look Like)" reminiscent of both Gang Of Four and Public Image Limited . Dysfunktion is confirmation that Serpent is pushing the boundaries of their infectious punk-funk with “Ice Age” and the haunting finale called “Cold Sweat” ready to have us grooving this spring and beyond.
