Charlotte Reinhardt - Colors (2022) Hi-Res

Charlotte Reinhardt has refocused on her piano, surrounded by talented jazz musicians, with a search for musical, intimate and introspective purity.

The Colors are 12 short, mysterious, lyrical, contemplative pieces, resulting from improvisations around the piano, conceived as intimate journeys, introspections, poems, music for imaginary films.

They trace the initiatory journey of the artist, his quest for a return to his roots and a relationship to music freed from all shackles.

The first piece Origins sets the tone, movement of a strange, free and hypnotic world.

The emotions are contrasted there, between tenuous atmospheres and luminous bursts, revealing all the richness of Charlotte Reinhardt's influences: Ravel, Debussy, Scriabin, Liszt, Brad Mehldau, Jim Beard, Bill Evans.

After a long solitary work of composition and arrangement, she surrounded herself with musicians from various musical cultures to enrich the palette of her Colors.
