Andrés Levell - In Carne Sua (2022)

The theme of the pieces that make up IN CARNE SUA have to do with the body intervened by artifacts, itself converted into a robot, a symbiosis of living flesh and the machine, of emotions and the inner abyss, technological implants, abandoned dystopian landscapes , dance of metal bodies, malfunctioning devices, feelings and impossible robotic religiosity, system error. The IN CARNE SUA album could be defined as an intimate sound poetry collection of post-apocalyptic science fiction.

The prepared piano technique consists of intervening the strings with various types of objects or materials that modify the resulting sound, without damaging the instrument. On this occasion the strings have been prepared with wooden clothespins, screws of different sizes, knives, magnetic tape and paper.

This is the second album made by Levell entirely with Prepared Piano. The first was the Second Part of LA QUEMA DE LA BESTIA, published in 2009 by AKANIS also independently.
