A Nighthawk are Sarah Snavely, Ted Malmros, and Victor Hvidfeldt.

Sarah was born and bred in the USA. Victor and Ted were not. They live and make music very close to where Ted and Victor were born and bred – in Stockholm, Sweden.

Life is a magical sort of thing. A really beautiful, heart-breaking affair.

When A Nighthawk releases music these days, they do it on their own label. Dead Dandelion Collective. In English, there is no word for the white wispy-eared flowers that remain once a bright-yellow dandelion has crossed to the other side. Those things kids blow on to send their wishes out into the atmosphere. And through their name, we find proof that death too is a beautiful part of this grand story of life. The universal tie that binds us all, like breath and water and sleep.

Above all else, there is music. Ah, music, how I love you so. How I lean into you when times are tough, when times are easy, when times are drunken, when times are somber and sober and dipped in grey winter light. Thank you, music, for letting us touch you with our calloused hands. And thank you, dear reader, for listening to our take on this ride through this life.
