The flame remains alive with René Bottlang and, far from extinguishing, illuminates his latest productions. Sensitivity on edge for “Bueno Aires” his recent Argentinian solo and, here, fusional complicity with Ralf Altrieth his saxophonist partner, a musician whom we have great pleasure in discovering.
The beautiful melodies that they play together, compositions by the pianist, all have the richness of a deceptive simplicity. Harmonically rich, they sparkle with a thousand lights and imprison the listener in the meanders of their most intimate sensibility.
