Émilie Girard-Charest - Intimités (2022) [Hi-Res]

Asyndètes: in this quartet, I addressed the issue of fracture as an energy catalyst – between shocks which modify and shocks which divide. Épanchements is first and foremost a work based on silence which aims to highlight the lyricism of noise. In Heurts, I explored the notion of rupture point. I was interested in the moment where the impulse is broken, victim either of itself or of exterior elements. Intimités: in this work, I was interested in different aspects of the notion of intimacy: physical proximity, interdependence and contribution to a greater whole.
