The comeback album after 27 years

For a long time, no one expected this comeback: in 2019, The Jeremy Days reunited and went on tour. The German pop band from Hamburg formed in 1987 and released four albums, but disbanded in 1996.

The live reunion will be followed by a new album in 2022: "Beauty In Broken" is the name of longplayer number five. "Wow, we did it! We actually recorded a new album. It's the first in 27 years!", The Jeremy Days write on their website.

Work on the record took place in the band members' home studios during the lockdown. They "met" at weekly "jdays monday on my mind" zoom sessions, a sort of digital band rehearsal/coffee klatch/old dudes group session, according to the band's blog. "Originally we had planned to meet somewhere to record together, but a strange worldwide pandemic (you may have heard of it) put an end to all those lofty ambitions. So we did what had to be done."

For the drum recordings they actually met in the studios Hafenklang and Wilhelmsrock. After twelve months of songwriting and a first mix, they sent eleven songs to Los Angeles for mixing, where engineer and producer Marc Daniel Nelson (Fleetwood Mac, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, Eric Burdon) took care of them.

"Beauty In Broken" is the result, the comeback album that the band already announced with the title song. "As if they had never been gone" is a comment under the video on Youtube. Yes, that's exactly how it feels or sounds.
