Hans Lüdemann TransEuropeExpress Ensemble - ON THE EDGES 1 (2022)

Inspired by Navid Kermani's book "Entlang der Gräben", TransEuropeExpress, the German-French jazz ensemble, embarks on musical journeys to and across borders with the long-term project "On the Edges". The musicians consciously seek to step out of the comfort zone of familiar styles and open themselves and the ensemble in new directions . The encounters and impressions have the long-term goal of forming a wide-ranging musical Gesamtkunstwerk from the various projects. With "On the Edges 1" the cycle begins just beyond the European cultural sphere, on the opposite side of the Mediterranean to Europe, and in a collaboration with the Moroccan musician, composer and singer Majid Bekkas.
