Watashi - Euthanasia Coaster (2022)

As a musician Watashi has been producing music since his teenage years, shifting between punk-rock to drum & bass and dub-step, spending over 10 years honing his craft to a fine-edge. The LP is a project that’s been borne out of Watashi’s aural vision that spurred to life through the troubled times of the COVID pandemic in India.

Euthanesia Coaster is an album that presents music that’s amorphous and unapologetically unique. The persona of the album ranges from calm & uplifting atmospherics to dark drum & bass and breaks showcasing the myriad styles of music and skill that Watashi possesses. Using samples from live drum kits and sounds produced “in-the-box” without the use of any analogue instruments, the LP takes the listener on a rip-roaring journey through the different range of emotions that some or maybe all of us encountered during the troubled times over the past few years.
