Starting with the latter, 'Twisted Mind' is a lively, uptempo slice of disco-pop, 'Rise' (featuring Tasita D'Mour) rocks a more club-friendly soulful/disco house vibe, while Sophie & The Giants collab finds us back in daytime Kiss FM territory. As for the album proper, it's fair to say that 'Exotica' finds the German stalwart making his bid for mainstream stardom - much of what's here is much closer to contemporary pop than it is to 70s disco or 90s disco-house. But then you knew that already.
