The horn is found everywhere, from the Baroque period. It is the only instrument of the brass family to be present in almost all classical symphonies.

A copper, sure, but the woodwinds sometimes consider him one of their own. And what about the perfect symbiosis that can exist when you combine it with strings or voice?

Mozart wrote 4 (5?) concertos for him, imagine… as many as for the violin!

The romantic composers brought it to the fore, often gave it leading roles, the 20th century is not to be outdone, and ultimately no film music can do without it.

But who is he?
What are its secrets?

This album proposes to answer it, by compiling here several recordings made over the last 20 years. The sound recordings, the rooms, the pianos are different, the instrument and the performer remain the same.

The “patchwork” form is definitively assumed, like a multitude of secrets, nuggets intended to be shared.

By going through these secrets, we will discover rarities, pieces never recorded to date, but which in my opinion, are the very essence of this instrument: heroic, proud, then tender, almost confidant.
