Do you remember Popping Hole and their last EP, Getting Over? Well, say goodbye to that name and meet Paloma which is their brand new name. The Rouen training is reinventing itself somewhat by offering us their very first long-format called Blueprints.
Always at ease with their indie pop influences, Paloma returns with a dose of sweet and bittersweet music with these ten very impressionistic tracks. With the opening title called "Always", the Rouen quartet bathes between Beach Boys and Prefab Sprout via Morrissey with this communicative and nostalgic energy which remains transcendent whether on "She Doesn't Seem To Care" or on "Time's Flying".
Definitely harmonious from start to finish with “Tears”, “Time To Be Young” or even with “The Station”, Paloma perfects her solar arrangements while remaining straight in their boots at the level of the texts. On Blueprints, the group from Rouen demonstrates its humanism with these compositions which are always as irreproachable as on “Thanks” and on the conclusion called “Storm And Rain”. This new start for the people of Rouen is simply incredible and pleasant to start this start of the year.
