SUPERB BROADCAST RECORDING FROM THE COUNTRY SUPERGROUP IN 1996 Perhaps the only true country-music-supergroup, The Highwaymen formed in 1985, but for their first two albums, both on Columbia Records, they did not record under the name they later adopted (taken from the Jimmy Webb song which featured on their debut) but instead were credited as Nelson, Cash, Jennings and Kristofferson. By their third studio release in 1995, The Road Goes On Forever, on Liberty Records, they were credited as The Highwaymen, the name they had informally adopted and generally been known under since the start. Still touring their latest record in June 1996, on the 4th of that month they put on a superb show at L.A. s Greek Theatre, and one that was recorded for live FM Broadcast. Formerly unreleased, this major concert is now available in excellent quality on this 2-CD Set, for the first time.
