SymphoCat - Revival Renaissance Rebirth (Act 2) (2022)

"Revival Renaissance Rebirth" is a series of albums filled with choral and ambient sound collages. Repeated fragments of spiritual phrases and vocalizations performed in Latin coexist in a single interweaving with deep organ passages and string instruments. The second Act of the albums “Revival Renaissance Rebirth” by Symphocat includes 7 compositions that send the listener beyond the surface level of perception of music.

"The second act of the album series is dedicated to an inner temple, cathedral or place, especially a personal and hidden. I believe that by finding such an area of research and knowledge within ourselves, we will enrich, fill this place with meanings, important feelings and observations, and later we will be able to go out into the world with an open state of the inner temple. Paraphrasing and the artistic act of quoting the Renaissance era, which acts as an important cultural paradigm in the history of European and world civilizations, is able, according to Symphocat, to materialize (revive) important meanings, states, directions in culture and spiritual development, continuing the centuries-old dialogue in the nascent Era of Aquarius (the astrological concept of New Age culture). The albums are based on the choral Requiem by the Spanish composer Tomas Luis de Victoria and performed in 80th by the Choir of Westminster Cathedral.

Ilia Symphocat is a musician, composer of ambient and experimental music, curator of the label Simphonic Silence Inside, was born in 1987 in Rostov-on-Don (currently lives in St. Petersburg). Symphocat is most closely associated with Meditative Ambient, Drone, Experimental Music, Minimalism and field recordings. In Ilia's creative way you can find collaboration with free ensembles, improvising choirs, dance performance artists, poets, theater projects, etc. Symphocat works with the properties of harmonies and timbres of sound, feeling the connection of vibrations of subtle matters, the influence of creativity on the feeling of the inner and outer world.
