Samantha McKaige is a guitar playing, Americana singing, folk songwriting 19 year old from Seattle, Washington. She takes inspiration from the woods and peaks of the Pacific Northwest and the rivers of Idaho.
Samantha is pursuing songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts where she just released her recent singles, Slow Dancing, Mountains, and CALIFORNIA.
She is currently working on her debut album, which is a collection of songs written from the grass and the sand of Washington's San Juan Islands.
Her journeys and heartaches have inspired lyrics that reflect insights and maturity well beyond her years and capture timeless, deeply human sentiments. Paired with brilliantly crafted melodies and on-point vocal ornamentation, Samantha's live performances often result in teary eyes, chills and standing ovations.
Paired with her originals, Samantha performs uniquely arranged covers of her favorite musicians, such as CAAMP, Ezra Bell, The Lumineers, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Gillian Welch and The Highwomen.
