Encuentros együttes - Két Világ Barokk zenéje (2022)

We would like to show one of the excellent pieces of the Hungarian musical past to the Hungarian and foreign audiences, and thus pass it on to the next generation. The musicals would draw attention to the fact that there is invaluable cultural value in the local archives, the presentation of which, in addition to the musical experience of the students, would serve the glory of God.

The soundtrack of the released album is Hungaricum, the ideological value of which is invaluable from the point of view of music history and worthy of emphasis. It is closely related to the album The Ecumenical Baroque Music of Two Worlds, which was released with great success last year, and which also processed baroque Hungarian church music materials.

The musical material of the album is due to the research work of our renowned Argentine-Hungarian music historian Leidemann Sylvia. The aim of his research is to make previously unreleased pieces of music available to the general public. The songs on the album come from the Győr Archive Musicalis Cathedralis (Pannonhalmi) and the Chquitos Jesuit Archive (Bolivia). The sound material is recorded with the participation of the Encuentros ensemble and excellent Hungarian and foreign guest artists.
