A piano duo album by jazz great Chick Corea, who passed away suddenly on February 9, 2021, and Makoto Ozone, who continues to be active on the world stage.

Chick Corea and Makoto Ozone first met in 1982, when Ozone was still a student at Berklee College of Music. Chick Corea and Makoto Ozone first met in 1982, when Ozone was still a student at Berklee College of Music, and have been friends ever since. In May 2016, more than 30 years after their first encounter, the two pianists embarked on a two-piano concert tour of 11 concerts in Japan. In May 2016, the two pianos toured 11 concerts in Japan, and the best takes from the acclaimed performances were carefully selected for this album.

Although the album was planned before Chick's death and the songs had already been selected between the two of them, due to Chick's sudden death, it was completed by Kosone and Bernie Kirsch, a recording engineer who has worked on many of Chick's famous albums.

The album features original compositions by both musicians (including numbers written for the duo tour), co-written compositions ("Koto Ria," a word coined by combining "Koto" for "true" and "Ria" for "Korea"), classical and standard numbers, and fully improvised pieces. The album includes classical and standard numbers as well as fully improvised performances. The two musicians, who have been friends for many years, have vacuum-packed their heart-to-heart interplay onto two albums.

Chick was planning to tour Japan in the fall of 2021 to celebrate his 80th birthday, but due to his sudden death, a memorial concert called "Tribute to Chick Corea" will be held by Makoto Ozone, Hiromi Uehara and others.
