Bach ne serait Jean-Sébastien sans les Six Partitas : attentif à en exprimer le souffle et la géniale rhétorique à la fois abstraite (mais moins conceptuelle donc plus accessible et proche que le Clavier bien tempéré) et (surtout) aussi sensuelle, le claveciniste Jean-Luc Ho offre une lecture, finement incarnée, équilibrée et solaire d’un fini admirable. Car il est clair, éloquent, mais aussi subtilement énoncé, riche en intentions et connotations, servis par une très convaincante technique. Le cycle forme le premier recueil publié après son installation à Leipzig (1726), édité en une totalité affirmée et assumée en 1731. C’est évidemment le choix concerté et réfléchi d’un auteur soucieux de sa notoriété : la valeur accordée par le Maître à ce premier ensemble, justifie le soin apporté par l’interprète moderne, prêt à s’engager pour en révéler la valeur, c’est à dire la secrète unité, la subtile profondeur.
