Born in Sweden in 1971, Linus began playing the classical guitar at age 10 and made the switch to electric guitar a few years later after discovering rock. He started to study guitar and composition seriously and the dream of a life in music emerged. After a few years he fell in love with jazz and did his first gigs in Malmö, Sweden. Still in his teens he began working internationally first on the Canary Islands, Spain, then in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Linus moved to Nice, France in 1995 to continue his studies. He recorded his first album "Volume 5" in Antibes in 1999. He dedicated himself more and more to arranging which led to his next album "Naima" in 2004 featuring late trumpet player François Chassagnite.
He is the director of the Conservatory of music in Cagnes-sur-Mer and continues to perform and record in a variety of genres with musicians of the highest caliber. His latest release as a leader "Dedication Blues" (La Note Bleue Productions) came out in 2015 and featured Anders Bergcrantz on trumpet and Emanuele Cisi on tenor saxophone.
He has also collaborated with Franck Amsallem, Jean-Marc Jafet, Nicolas Viccaro, Christian Escoudé, Olivier Ker Ourio, Jean-Paul Ceccarelli, George "Jojje" Wadenius, Lill Lindfors, Remi Vignolo, Stéphane Guillaumes, Vincent Bourgeyx etc.
His playing and composing continue to evolve and although he's not locked into any style he always stay true to his own original and soulful conception of music.
