Louise Goffin - Louise Goffin (1981)

Goffin's second album is a pleasant enough reprise of her first, although this time there is a diminution in her own instrumental contributions. A collaboration with her father, legendary Gerry Goffin, results in "Baby Come Round to Me." The father-daughter partnership clearly works well, since this is one of Louise's most assuredly melodic efforts. Surprise guests include Stevie Nicks, who donates a song and provides backing vocals. The rest is OK and includes moderately entertaining rock like "Geisha Girl" and a straightforward cover of "I've Had It." © Charles Donovan /TiVo
