Zero Crossing Point - Iteration of the Self (2022)

After rare apparitions on compilations, sound designer Victor Morello aka Zero Crossing Point brings to light his very first full length release. "Iteration of the Self" gathers 8 tracks created on a 4 years interval and based on countless reworks and adjustments, mirroring a dense period of self transformation for the producer. Inspired by Ambient, Musique Concrete, Film Score, Club and Metal, Zero Crossing Point delivers a stunning piece of hybrid electronics, sometimes extreme, sometimes uplifting and cinematic.

Use and abuse of home made synthesised sounds and personal field recordings create an uncommon universe in which reverb, granular synthesis, distortion and resonators pave the way for an astonishing sense of narration. Drawing inspiration from nature observations, bizarre movies, books and video games, the Grenoble-based producer built a wonderful piece transcribing strong unsayable emotions and exploring the concept of iteration.
