Jim Nelson - Just Another Day (2016)

The 3rd release by a songwriter who is heavily influenced by the blues, soul and am radio he listened to growing up in south Louisiana. Jim played a lot of "Swamp Pop" then – everything from The Grass Roots to John Fred and the Playboys. Jim's playing is also heavily influenced by the New Orleans “piano professors” and he plants his feet firmly in both pop and blues. Jim's other big influence is Ray Charles and he credits a chance listen to an Atlantic years recording by the genius with sending him down a path that crossed from blues to jazz to soul.

Jim now lives on the North Carolina coast where the blue water and pine trees make a perfect back beat for the music he now creates. Jim continues to perform live both solo and with his band Nelson & The Rock-a-fellas.
