James Osland has been a part of RTR since the very beginning. His 2018 album, 'Manitoba Gardens' (RTR004), was the first album to sell out as the label began to grow, and he has also featured on every RTR Sampler volume to date. 'Almond Drive' (RTR035) is a follow up to 'Manitoba Gardens', continuing the story through a delicate combination of gentle ambient progressions, field recordings and found sound.
The album was initially scheduled to be released toward the end of 2020. However, unavoidable delays related to the pandemic pushed the release back and 'Almond Drive' is one of two albums to start 2021's physical run.
"This album is dedicated to Roy and Mary Jenkins for creating the safest and most loving home that anyone could have asked for. We will never forget all the wonderful memories that you have created in that home. " - James Osland
