Jim Kahr is American through and through, he was born in Chicago, grew up there and has grown into the great electro blues music scene. He played with many of the well-known musicians at a young age, for example in the early 1970s he was a member of the Bobby Blue Bland Band before performing with Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor and Jimmy Rogers, among others. Then he was hired by various stars such as John Lee Hooker (1978) or Freddie King.
Jim Kahr dealt with his name relatively late and noticed that it was an Austrian one and went in search of his roots and discovered that his grandparents emigrated from Burgenland to Chicago around 1900 and would like to see his activities as CD publications and concerts also increasingly relocated to Austria. He currently lives in Germany and would like to visit Europe for a concert.
