Scottish four Aereogramme was formed in 1998 as alternative / progressive rock. In 1999, the team released two vinyl singles before signing a deal with Chemikal Underground Records in early 2000. The first round was the recording of two EPs, and only later the first full-length album, A Story in White, was released in 2001. It was followed by Sleep and Release in 2003, and shortly after the third official release, EP Seclusion, the band moved to Undergroove Records. Despite this, the band returned to the Chemikal Underground in August 2006.

Their third album, My Heart Has a Wish That You Would Not Go, was released on January 29, 2007 in Britain, Europe and the United States, and in Japan on October 14, 2006 under the title The Exorcist, in honor of the film of the same name. In a recent interview, singer Craig. B explained the pause between releases by losing his voice for 6 months. “We didn’t know how long this would last, so everyone went their separate ways, waiting for my voice to return. I went to Lore and he advised me to eat yoghurts, but it didn't work. The only thing that influenced my voice was time, as I spent the last couple of years screaming every night, drinking whiskey and smoking, and it was a killer combination. I think this is how my body gave me the signal to stop. "

On May 11, 2007, Aereogramme announced on their website: “We regret to say this, but Aereogramme decided to disband. The reasons for this are very complex and confusing. However, it would be fair to say that the never-ending financial struggle, combined with the inhuman ability to circumvent the zeitgeist, led to losses. We assure you, we simply do not have the strength. We are very proud of the four albums we have released in the last seven years. We hope that they still resonate in your hearts. We plan to honor and celebrate the wonderful acquaintances we made during the final shows this summer. "

The team played their last show at the Connect Festival in Inverary, Scotland on August 31, 2007.
