Nova - Terranova & Quo Vadis [2CD Remastered & Expanded Edition] (2021)

Peter Kommers and Ruud van Es began working together in Peru in 1979. Both shared an interest in electronic music and synthesizers. After their acquaintance with Rob Papen at a Dutch fan club event of German electronic musician Klaus Schulze in 1980, Peru continued as a trio.

When their first album Macchu Picchu had some performances, they came in contact with Willem van Kooten and decided to form another group besides Peru: Nova. One of Nova's first tracks was Aurora, a song based on Peru's Sons Of Dawn and was released as a single in the spring of 1982, becoming a number one hit in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Netherlands and Belgium became. The trio worked with producer Chris Pilgram on their album debut Terranova, which was released in the fall of 1982 and climbed to #7 on the Dutch album charts in July 1982. Under 1983, their second album Quo Vadis hit the stores, but it also marked the end for Nova. From then on, Peter Kommers, Ruud van Es and Rob Papen continued as Peru.

This 2CD marks the first time that both Nova albums are released in digital format, under the supervision of Rob Papen and Red Bullet catalog and band archivist Wouter Bessels. All tracks have been remastered in 24 bit / 96 kHz from the original master tapes. Photos. Read more
