Die britische Country-Rock Formation The Rockingbirds um Frontmann Alan Tyler veröffentlichen ihr erstes neues Studioalbum seit über 17 Jahren! Mit ihrem selbstbetitelten Debütalbum, erschienen 1992 auf Heavenly Records, gelang der Band ein Meilenstein des Alternative-Country-Rocks, und das Album katapultierte die Band in eine Liga mit den Jayhawks oder Uncle Tupelo. 1995 erschien ihr zweites Werk "Whatever Happened To The Rockingbirds" auf Cooking Vinyl, das ebenfalls von u.a. Edwyn Collins produziert wurde. Nach diesem Album lösten sich die Rockingbirds auf und die Mitglieder gingen musikalisch getrennte Wege. 2008 reformierte sich die Gruppe zum 18. Geburtstag des Heavenly Labels neu, und seitdem spielten sie diverse Shows und Festivals (u.a. Glastonbury 2009). Seit 2009 basteln die Jungs auch an neuen Songs und veröffentlichen dieses Jahr auf dem Londoner Label Loose Music ihr drittes Album! Fans von The Jayhawks über Calexico bis zu Ryan Adams kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten!
