The Eurasia string quartet was founded in Maastricht, The Netherlands, in 2013 and is named after the origins of its musicians; each of them has a strong connection to Russia, a country that combines European and Asian musical traditions.

All four quartet members are prize winners of several prestigious international competitions, both as soloists and as chamber musicians. The quartet is known for its strong musical personality and professionalism, while its diverse repertoire includes music from different styles and genres. At the same time, the Eurasia string quartet seeks to constantly evolve and push the boundaries in terms of performance possibilities for the ensemble. To this end they are coached and mentored by Henk Guittart, former member of the Schönberg Quartet.

The Eurasia Quartet performs throughout the Netherlands on a regular basis, as well as in Belgium and Germany. In January 2015, during the Storioni Competition the quartet were awarded active attendance of masterclasses with members of the Storioni Trio, and in 2016 they received the Henriëtte Hustinxprijs.

In 2020 Eurasia Quartet became a triple international competition prize winner. In January 2020 won a Silver Medal at ‘Central International String Quartet Competition’ in Malta.
In February 2020 became 1st Prize Winner at ‘Grand Prize Virtuoso - International Music Competition’ in London, UK.
In March 2020 became 1st Prize Winner at ‘2nd AEMC international chamber music competition’ in Italy.
In June 2020 Eurasia Quartet performed the World Premiere of Lawrence Kramer's String Quartet No. 8 " Reflections and Memories " (2018-2020). Performance took place during the AEMC Conference.
