John Griffiths - Elizabeth Raum: The Legend of Heimdall, Concerto del Garda, Pershing Concerto (2021)

One of Canada’s former leading brass soloists, the late John Griffiths performed in major halls over the world, including Italy, Russia, and Japan, Canada, and the USA. He performed and gave workshops in over 30 North American universities, including among others, Eastman, Michigan, Indiana, and Arizona State. His performances receivedrave reviews and spontaneous standing ovations wherever he played not only for his pyrotechnical ability, sound and musicality, but also for his skill as an entertainer.
Griffiths was the Director of the Conservatory of Performing Arts at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan. He also played principal tuba and bass trombone with the Regina Symphony Orchestra. His book, The Low Brass Guide, designed as a brass pedagogy text, has been a popular teaching tool since its publication in 1980.
