Recording his album live in a studio, during his last tour in Asia, Juan Carmona shared the true substance of his music and revived the magic of his concert.
Juan Carmona, as an authentic live performer, successfully manages to share the emotion and the complicity with his musicians on this album by taking the listener on his tour, as if attending an imaginary private concert.
South Korea , Taiwan, China ... a musical travelogue. A true fusion of sentiments, “Perla de Oriente” is reminiscent of all the years he spent on the road with the musicians. Far away from his sophisticated orchestrations, the artist reinterpreted his own music with this exposed album. Each song title represents a journey and recalls a significant memory from the tour; “Mar de China” rediscovers the sea of Cadiz, “Bulerias Prohibidas” is a bold interpretation of the traditional buleria and “Casa de té” was influenced by a tea ceremony.
The last unreleased title was composed while a layover between Asia and Orient. His feet in the land of his ancestors and his head into modernity, Juan Carmona is timeless, elusive, undeniably flamenco.
