UNAMAS "The Art of Fugue" won the 22nd Japan Professional Music Recording Award for Excellence
"Fugue Technique – The Art of Fugue" recorded in February 2015 as the second work in the UNAMAS label Karuizawa Oga Hall series at the 22nd Japan Professional Music Recording Award Multichannel Surround in the High-Resolution Category, which honors engineers who produced outstanding recordings with the aim of improving engineers' skills and social status awarded the Excellence Award.
Mick Sawaguchi, hosted by the UNAMAS label, calls it "subjective surround" for his novel sound field expression, which was recorded in a way that surrounded listeners in surround spaces by five artists. In commemoration of this award, the Art of Fugue Premium edition, which includes the same performance as a bonus track in an "objective surround" microphone arrangement emphasizing the sound of the hall by Hideo Enko, who was in charge of recording director of this work, will be released urgently on December 10. You can enjoy listening to and comparing how the same performance changes depending on the expression method. Prior to the release, we will introduce the commentary text by Mr. Mick Sawaguchi himself.
Mick Sawaguchi's second classic work "Fugue Technique" finally appears! As early as it was released last year, "The Four Seasons - Antonio Vivaldi" was an unusually long hit.
The second work finally appeared. Following on from last year, the recording of this work was held at Karuizawa and Oga Hall. Here, Click Sawaguchi took up "Fugue Technique", which is considered to be J.S. Bach's last work. This difficult song is arranged by Yoichi Tsuchiya, and it is recorded in the organization that can be said to be the first in the world, what a string quartet + contrabass. It is finished in the work which seems to be Mr. Sick who breaks the image of "Fugue technique" up to now.
In addition, when recording this work, we used MADI's system, Neumann's digital microphone "NEUMANN KM-133D", and Acoustic Revive microphone cable, etc., we dared to record with the latest and finest technology equipment. Enjoy the current state-of-the-art high-resolution sound.
