Grammy and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Adele performs for a small group of fans at the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club in California. Featuring hits including Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You from her album 21 and Chasing Pavements from her debut release 19, as well as a cover of the soul classic (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.
Her voice can easily fill stadiums, but this is an intimate performance from Adele. She’s perched on a stool with a mug of coffee, tapping her high heel in the air, with an audience small enough that they don’t attempt to sing along. This is a good thing: her tales of heartache speak to everyone, but no one sings them as well as Adele.Indeed, even if you belted out Someone Like You at the office Christmas karaoke, you might not know the lyrics. There are a few too many of her lesser songs, supplemented by some lovely covers of other artists. Overall it’s not the most memorable set from Adele, but who can resist a singer with the voice of an angel ?
