Long Long - Long Long - Tenor Arie / Arias (2021) Hi-Res

A CD entitled "Arie / Arias" has been released in the well-known layout of the publications of the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. The arias on the album are performed by Long Long, an excellent young tenor, a Chinese who currently lives in Germany.

This special album is the result of the Polish Radio Prize, which Long Long received during the 10th International Vocal Competition. Stanisław Moniuszko in Warsaw, in 2019. Although the Chinese artist did not win the competition (he "only" won the 3rd prize), he received as many as five special awards, including an invitation to record in Polish Radio.

It is true that the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020 postponed the possibility of implementing the award a bit, but on June 11, 2021, during the first concert after fifteen months with the participation of the audience at the Polish Radio Concert Studio. Witold Lutosławski, Long Long and the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw, led by its artistic director Michał Klauza, made joint recordings.

Long Long comes from a family with rich musical traditions. His great-grandfather was a Chinese opera soloist, and four generations in his family were associated with this genre of art. Even as a ten-year-old he could sing excerpts from Chinese operas. No wonder then he studied at the conservatory in Shanghai and at the University of Beijing.

After arriving in Europe, Long Long was enrolled in an opera studio at the Staatsoper in Munich for two years. He became popular due to master classes organized in Italy by Georg Solti Accademia. In 2019, he joined the Opera in Hanover. After a moment of stagnation caused by the pandemic, his career took off in 2021.

The presented album is an artistic showcase of the thirty-year-old tenor. Long Long recorded parts of the roles in which he is cast (Alfredo from La Traviata and Prince of Mantua from Rigoletto Verdi). The artist also presents arias from operas in which he would like to appear in the future. The vast scale of his possibilities is presented in Tamino's aria from Mozart's Magic Flute. And of course Moniuszko, who in the person of Long Long gained a new ambassador. It is said that Stefan's aria from Act III of the opera Straszny Dwór Long Long was performed during the Stanisław Moniuszko in 2019 better than many Poles.
