Sophia Körber - Tabumator (2021)

On this unusual CD with first recordings by composers of our time you can expect songs that address taboos. Why are there taboos at all? Aren't we all human? We say with our songs: Get rid of these shackles! Off to the tabum room! With our CD we will break these taboos and have the opportunity to support contemporary songs. These musical treasures and their associated themes and taboos are brought from the unheard into being heard, from the hidden into the open. We throw the spotlight on three composers of our time: the Serbian composer Snežana Neši, who lives in Hanover, the Singaporean composer Americ Goh and the composer Hermann Reutter from Stuttgart. In addition, the Canadian composer Eliazer Kramer composed a special song version of “Clitoris Magnifi cus” as a bonus track for us. This song was originally composed for Lori Malépart-Traversy’s animation ‘Le clitoris’.
