Beginning his career in Montreal, within the band, “Daconnection”, Drê-D revealed his skill to the public through his huge charismatic stage-presence in the music scene in Canada & abroad. In 2002, continuing along the same path, he was recognized on the famous Club Soda stage, for his distinct uniqueness when he won first place in the Hip Hop 4ever Contest, for best R&B french song bestowed by the Canadian Society of Authors, Composers, and Music Publishers (SOCAN). This distinction allowed him to fly to France where he undertook a short tour.
This golden-voiced prodigy does not cease to amaze the public with both his giftedness for the art of song, as much as with his devotion and commitment in the Haitian community by organizing a series of events entitled “RACINE”: Prélude au mois de l’histoire des Noirs. These events will be used as a catalyst for emerging artists while emphasizing upon cultures of African descent thus facilitating the exposure of Haiti, his own country of origin.
Enriched with all of his musical experiences, Drê-D continues to pursue his ambitions and his dreams by sharing with the world his original compositions of his very first album.
