John Norum - Play Yard Blues (2010)

Play Yard Blues is the latest solo album by John Norum, the guitarist in the Swedish hard rock band Europe. It was released on 17 May 2010. The album includes cover versions of the Thin Lizzy song "It's Only Money", the Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush song "Ditch Queen" and the Mountain song "Travellin' in the Dark". John Norum is a Norwegian/Swedish rock guitarist and one of the founders of the Swedish rock band, Europe. Concurrent to his role with Europe, he also maintains a successful side solo career. During his career in music, Norum has played with Eddie Meduza & the Roaring Cadillacs, Dokken, Don Dokken's solo band, as well as collaborations with other well-known artists in his solo albums, including Glenn Hughes, Kelly Keeling, Peter Baltes, Simon Wright and Göran Edman. His influences include the likes of Gary Moore and Michael Schenker.
