Matt had this to say about The Matt Woods Manifesto in a March 2011 interview for Buzzbin Magazine.
"It has been a long process over the course of the last year or more finishing the album, but I think it is the best collection of songs I have ever recorded! I approached this album differently than I have any of the other ones. Because I didn’t have a full time band, I was able to invite friends I have made along the way to contribute and that was a blast! I think all in all there were over 15 people who played on the album in some form or fashion. There is a lot of appalachian instrumentation on this one as well as rockin’ guitars and such."
The album featuring many southeastern musicians from bands such as The Back Row Baptists, Truckstop Coffee, The Tim Lee 3, The Black Lillies (including a duet with Trisha Gene Brady), and many more!
