Kenichi Tsunoda Big Band - Lacquer Master Sound Meets the BIG BAND, Vol. 1 (2021) Hi-Res

Kenichi Tsunoda Big Band was formed in 1990 with the motto "Big Band Forever!". In April of the same year, he performed his first live at the live house "Pit Inn" in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Since then, he has been enthusiastically engaged in performances held in halls, live houses, appearances on TV and radio, jazz festivals nationwide, events, and appreciation classes at junior high and high schools.
The entire repertoire is composed and arranged by Tsunoda, and has a wide range of "from swing to Latin to Toru Takemitsu", expressing the charm of the big band.
He has performed with Chicago, David Sanborn, Shirley Bassey, Richard Stoltzman and other famous domestic artists, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and has 15 CD albums. Three of them have been released nationwide by US record company SEA BREEZE RECORD. Kenichi Tsunoda's big band 2007 regular performance "Another Toru Takemitsu" held in the fall of 2007 won the Excellence Award at the 2007 (62nd) Agency for Cultural Affairs Arts Festival.
In 2020, we were planning four commemorative performances to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the formation, but due to the influence of the coronavirus, only the performance on December 5th was held without spectators, and the digest version of the recorded performance is "Art ni Yell wo Yale" It is distributed in "Tokyo Project (stage type)". In addition, the sound source is on sale as a CD "Kenichi Tsunoda Big Band 30th Anniversary Unaudited Live at Kioi Hall".
