Hawklords - Dream (2013)

Following their epic 2012 return to form We Are One, long-running Hawkwind spin-off project Hawklords quickly regrouped for Dream, a more introspective and deeply thought-out album said by the band to be a commentary on the human condition. Rooted less in concept and more in rock-solid playing, exploratory synthesizer workouts, and wailing vocals from frontman Ron Tree, the album begins with the sprawling psychedelic burn of "Dream a Dream" and continues from there, through science fiction imagery, churning riffs, and interstellar jamming, culminating with the pulsing noise rock of "Psychic Eyes."

The Hawklords release their brand new studio album, 'Dream'. Originally formed by Robert Calvert and Dave Brock (of Hawkwind) from the ashes of The Sonic Assassins in 1978, Hawklords features key former Hawkwind band members Harvey Bainbridge (synths & vocals), Jerry Richards (guitar & vocals), Adrian Shaw (bass & vocals) and Ron Tree (lead vocalist & FX). Dave Pearce (drums), sticksman from UK psyche-rock band The Bevis Frond, completes the band line-up. Described by the band as "A commentary on the human condition" the album features 10 tracks.
