Eddie Dean - A Cowboy Sings Country (Digitally Remastered) (2016)

Once dubbed “the greatest cowboy singer of all time” by Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, Eddie Dean first came to prominence in the mid 1930’s and early 1940’s as a singing actor in many popular Western movies. Beginning in 1941 he recorded a string of hit singles and in 1948 he released a composition written by he and his wife Lorene entitled "One Has My Name (The Other Has My Heart)," which became a #1 country hit for his good friend Jimmy Wakely. The album presented here, “A Cowboy Sings Country,” was recorded in the late 1970’s and produced by Jimmy Wakely. The record features Dean singing some of the biggest country hits of all time including “San Antonio Rose,” “Cool Water” and “I Can’t Stop Loving You.” Originally released in 1980, all selections have been newly remastered.
