I like instruments that don’t play chords. Even instruments I play that you can use chords on I tend to play single note lines. I like how all of those single lines come together to make harmony and rhythm. In the spirit of improvisation it is even more fascinating to me because those single lines come together in exciting and unexpected ways. This album features improvisations by a trio of cornet, trombone, and the Double-Bass.
