June is the rainy season in Japan. It is also the most humid and difficult time of the year. At that time, I rented a temporary apartment and used it as my studio. The walls of the studio were thin and I could hear the outside noise very well.
There was no one else living in the apartment but me, so in a way it was the best environment. I turned up the volume on my guitar amp and recorded it as if it were a live performance. In the evening, the neighborhood school children were playing around the apartment. I wondered how they felt about the strange sounds leaking from the apartment. The apartment was demolished in August, and now I am working in a studio in another apartment. This album is a requiem for that temporary studio.
